Erie 1 BOCES Awarded National Grant for Central Train Terminal Project
SkillsUSA and Lowe’s announced that three Erie 1 BOCES career and technical centers were awarded a grant of $10,000 by the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation (LCEF) towards a community service project that will benefit the Buffalo Central Train Terminal. The students of Harkness, Kenton and Potter career centers will gain real world experience as part of the grant. Under the supervision of their teachers the students will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that may include restroom restoration, designing murals and additional projects utilizing building trade skills.
