Why?

I received a few emails asking why I was up on the 13th floor of the Terminal on Saturday…I was preparing a post about “why” but didn’t have time over the weekend to finish it.

I was invited to a meeting of Buffalo Weed and Seed’s lower East Side target area neighborhood restoration committee…they have decided to hold their meetings on the 13th floor of the Central Terminal…a hell-of-a walk up the stairs, but a cool place to hold a meeting.

Weed and seed…the basic premise of the initiative is to “weed” out the bad and “seed” some good into Buffalo’s neighborhoods…the group is going to become more active in the coming months in B-F…

The photo above is of Dan from the Lombard Street Block Club and Yuri (who seems to be involved in anything and everything B-F) who are part of the group.

The group has been involved in the mass tree planting you see in and around B-F…plus…they are involved targeting problem properties and bringing them to the attention of the city.

I encourage you to get involved with the group and will post the date of their next meeting on BFA.
