From his hospital bed, 27-year-old Jose Pinto is still able to crack a smile just days after he was beaten and left for dead on an east side street.
“All I can think about is how many times they hit him,” said his sister, Maria Torres. “It’s just unbelievable they hit a person like that with rocks, with bricks … just for a bike.”
