New “Larkin District” Development

This is Doug Swift of CityView Properties, developer of the Larkin Building, and me at the Larkin Building last week for a Buffalo Old Home Week event. Doug is a visionary, taking a seemingly huge risk in 2002 when he began redeveloping the Larkin Building. No one gave him much hope to attract tenants back the, but here it is 5 years later and the building is 98% full. The same potential exists for the Central Terminal, which is right around the corner.

It was nice to meet Doug and to discuss the Larkin, especially as it relates to the redevelopment potential at the terminal.

Doug is starting another noteworthy development project in the district now and you can read all about it here:

PS – In honor of Doug’s success in developing the Larkin District, we’ve officially dubbed the triangle from Broadway and Fillmore to Memorial Drive as the “Terminal District”.
