On Saturday, Buffalo Tours held its first Polonia Tour. I was there to represent Broadway Fillmore Alive and describe our mission and our projects, as well as to add some pertinent information to the tour.
Tour docent duties were performed by former Sweet Avenue resident, Peter Filim and it was quite informative and colorful. Beginning at St. Stan’s on Peckham and continuing down Fillmore to Stanislaus, the tour explains the rich and unique history of Poles in Buffalo. Including visits to St. Adalberts and ending at Corpus Christi, the tour took about 2 and a half hours.
