Two homes…one old…one not so old…both vacant…both in the B-F area…
Without proper planning for new housing in a declining neighborhood, newer homes can easily suffer the same fate as older homes. In other words, simply putting up new homes won’t cure a lot of the ancillary problems associated with at risk neighborhoods in terms of their housing stock and vacant properties. There has to be a plan in place that makes any new build project viable. If not, you will see new builds go vacant not long after they are built.
This addresses another need for the neighborhood…smart growth and smart non growth. Both the St. Stan’s Gardens and Crescent Village projects, though different, represent well thought out plans to bring new builds to B-F.
