Transfiguration Church and what should be done with it?

I caught an interesting story online today about Transfiguration Church on Sycamore Street and the increasing danger it is becoming to the neighborhood because of its detiorating condition.

We have written about the church on B-F-A before.

The church’s owners are nowhere to be found

It is sad to see this building in the shape it is in.  Unfortunately, the taxpayers are going to have to foot the bill for its demolition because the building is beyond repair.  The question is when is this going to happen.

I have fired off an email to Councilman Franczyk’s office to see what action is being taken from the city.
