Buffalo News: Arrest made in theft of two hot water tanks

Something we should pay close attention to are the people out there who steal a home’s essential pieces.  There have been on few articles on BFA about houses being stripped.  The scary part is that this happens to vacant and occupied properties.

If you see someone stripping a home or business, contact us or call the police.  These types of crimes not only strip the property but also strip the community.

A North Buffalo man has been accused of stealing two hot water tanks from a house on Walden Avenue near Sweet Avenue.

Artis Washington, 46, of Delaware Avenue, was arrested late Saturday by Ferry-Fillmore District officers, who said he took the tanks in his pickup truck. They charged him with felony burglary, possession of stolen property and possession of a crack pipe.
