Today I finally had the opportunity to tour Kaminski Park at Roswell Park.
The incredible story of Waldemar Kaminski…a now Broadway Fillmore legend…is something that can inspire us all. The “quiet grocer” who gave millions away to local charities out of the public’s eye is one that should never be forgotten. I knew the man.
My father had bypass surgery at Buffalo General this afternoon. While sitting around in the waiting room, I decided to take a walk to Roswell Park and shoot some video of Kaminski Park. (I hate the whole waiting room thing…)
It is a beautiful place that is an extension of the Broadway-Fillmore Area and the ideals of its Polish heritage.
If the world had more people like Mr. Kaminski, what a place it would be.
