Stop the Violence rally, march set for Saturday

The public is invited to attend a Stop the Violence rally and march Saturday. Bishop Perry L. Davis of the Stop the Violence Foundation is organizing the event, which will begin at 10 a.m. with a rally at Niagara Square and continue with an 11 a.m. march from the corner of Sycamore Street and Fillmore Avenue to Martin Luther King Park.

“We want to make a stance against violence,” said Davis. “If this march can save one life, it’s worth it.”

Davis, of New Life Harvest World Ministries, founded the Stop the Violence Foundation as a way to fund youth training programs, after-school activities and a tip line to report abuse. For more information, call 602-7857.
