Transfiguration Church Interior in 1968

One of our readers, Charlie, just sent me some scanned sections from Transfiguration’s 1968 Diamond Jubilee Celebration book. I thought it would be nice to share with everyone. Here is his comment, along with two excellent photos:

“Mike – I found a 1968 Jubilee book from Transfiguration Church at the Buffalo Library and copied a few pages of photos, which I e-mailed you. The quality isn’t the greatest but gives you an idea of how beautiful the church’s interior was. Note the last entry in the church’s timeline, for 1968: “Transfiguration celebrates its Diamond Jubilee. The parish is sound spiritually and financially.” Things sure changed in the ’70s and ’80s.”
