The above is a picture of the original Broadway Market building taken in 1898 after a fire ravaged the structure. I pulled this picture from the 03/10/1934 edition of the Buffalo Evening News while digging through the Market archives. The News had at one point in time a picture page that featured photos of notable things that happened on that day.
This second picture is from 1894 before the fire.
From other pictures I’ve seen, it is clear that this was an amazing structure.
