This is my all-time favorite photo of the concourse in the Central Terminal. This shot was taken just a few days before opening day, June 22, 1929, before the day long luncheon and celebrations were about to happen. This is the image I see in my mind every time I enter the building. As our efforts progress, that image becomes stronger and stronger.
In eight short days, she will be celebrating her 77th birthday. I think she knows now just how much we love her.
