Anyone remember the Rivoli Theatre at Broadway and Sweet? Does anyone have any pictures?
From what I read, the theatre closed in 1977, but I seem to recollect that it re-opened for awhile in the early 80s and then was torn down.
I remember seeing all kinds of movies there while growing up.
My favorite memory is seeing “Swarm” there. I have never looked at bees again in the same light. The funny thing is there was supposed to be another movie playing that night, “Smokey and the Bandit” I believe, but when we got there, “Swarm” was playing.
Got any memories of the place or any other B-F Area theatre, please share.
I’d love to bring back a theatre to the area…I know…I am a dreamer…but it would be cool.
