As Dyngus Day played out last night, word of Sr. Klimczak’s death spread amongst the crowds in the Broadway-Fillmore Area.
People were speechless as was I. I never met her personally, but after hearing story after story about Sr. Karen and her work with the Bissonette House and Hope Prison Ministries, the gravity of her loss is tremendous. She has touched countless lives and given people hope and new life.
An angel…
Christina Abt posted about Sr. Klimczak this morning on her blog and included the Prayer of St. Francis…let me share it with you.
“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred…let me sow love.
Where there is injury…pardon.
Where there is doubt…faith.
Where there is despair…hope.
Where there is darkness…light.
Where there is sadness…joy.”
