(Gregory Witul, Am-Pol Eagle) • Tue, Jun 04, 2013 This year, there are a number of big anniversaries being celebrated around Buffalo’s Polonia. It is the 125th Anniversary of the Broadway Market in the East Side, and Assumption parish in Black Rock. Many former members of Transfiguration church will be marking what would have been the 120th anniversary of their parish. The oldest anniversary being held this year is the 140th anniversary of the founding of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr parish. For their anniversary this year, St Stan’s is celebrating a special Mass, holding a banquet at the Millennium hotel and, as with all great celebrations, producing a commemorative program. This week, we will take a look back at the program from the 90th anniversary of St. Stanislaus Church held in 1963.
