I did get the opportunity to stop in to Saint Nicholas Ukranian Catholic Church yesterday to take some pics of the church prior to the 3 pm blessing of parishioner’s Easter baskets.
What a fantastic/beautiful place with fantastic people.
As you could imagine, I drew some attention while shooting the photos, but a number of people were interested in what I was doing and I slipped them my BFA card. The parishioners I met were very friendly and let me take pictures of them…they also invited me to come back for Mass…I will do that soon.
Saint Nicholas Church is another place that helps keep the neighborhood alive!
BFA friend Yuri Hreshchyshyn is a parishioner here.
B-F is a big melting pot of all sorts of wonderful cultures!

Thank you for taking the time to photograph our beautiful church. We at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church are very proud of our community. Perhaps you’d like to visit us again for the Christmas holiday.

My grandparents were members of your church between the 1930’s and 1960’s. There names were John and Mary Colomon and I know they were involved in the Ukrainian Catholic Refugee Comittee in helping the Ukrainians as they came over to the US. If you have any other information on them and the organization, I would appreitiate it. (716)913-9226
