Every now and again this crazy Buffalo world we live in has the capacity to throw surprises at even us most hardened B-lo types that thought we couldn\u2019t be surprised.\u00a0 Today was one of those days for me.<\/p>\n

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Cousin Kelly.\u00a0 If you don\u2019t know Mr. Kelly, you just may.\u00a0 His artwork is all around WNY in the form of\u00a0wooden sculptures<\/em> he creates.\u00a0 He has worked with\u00a0various groups throughout the city.\u00a0\u00a0Many groups or oragnizations from the\u00a0Buffalo Police to the Karpeles Manuscript Library Museum have his works\u00a0on display.<\/p>\n

Upon meeting him for the first time today, I knew this guy is a Buffalo treasure.<\/p>\n

His latest project is transforming a tree at Peckham Street and Memorial Drive in the heart of the Broadway-Fillmore area into a wooden scuplture that will pay homage to Buffalo\u2019s immigrant past and future.<\/p>\n
