Today there was a neighborhood clean up around the Fillmore district\u00a0 and it was a GREAT time!<\/p>\n
About 40-50 volunteers cleaned various parts of the district and we had a wonderful lunch prepared\u00a0at the Saint Kolbe Center( Corpus Christi)on Clark St,Yuri as usual was key to this venture and did a great job organizing and getting areas that needed some help taken care of!<\/p>\n
Many of the volunteers commented on how much improvement they are seeing in the neighborhoods, less debris, more people taking pride in their properties etc\u2026Dan & Rich from the Lombard\/Clark st block club really did a terrific job fundraising for supplies and even gave out some\u00a0door prizes( HEY.. I wanted that birdhouse it was gorgeous lol) and they cooked a FEAST, hot dogs, hamburgers,salads, chili,every kind of dessert you could think of the list goes on and on.<\/p>\n
