(Buffalo News \u2013 By JANA EISENBERG) Torn Space, the avant-garde theater company, is in the midst of running \u201cQuills,\u201d the \u201ccomedy about the last days of the Marquis de Sade.\u201d Doug Wright wrote \u201cQuills\u201d and the screenplay for the movie about the lusty, literary Marquis in 1995 and 2000, respectively. <\/p>\n

In this loving and creative revival, characteristic of the company\u2019s challenging shows, David Oliver masterfully plays the Marquis. At this point in his salacious and rebellious career, he\u2019s locked up in an insane asylum, driving his captors and the other inmates all the more crazy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
