(Andrew Golebiowski – Facebook) Scenes from the Op\u0142atek and Kol\u0119da held Jan. 17 at St. Stan’s. Over 200 people shared op\u0142atek, sang Polish Christmas Carols led by Fr. Czes\u0142aw Krysa and the Polish Heritage Dancers organized by the Polish Legacy Project-WWII. The Project’s Mission includes the recording of stories of Polish WWII survivors who settled in WNY in order t…o share them with the wider community, as well as to continue celebrating Polish traditions. Part of that tradition includes getting together to as a community to sing kol\u0119dy during the Christmas season through January. The Op\u0142atek was a multi-generational affair, in one case bringing four generations together at one table, headed by the eldest, Pani Zofia Miernik, a survivor of Nazi camps during WWII.
