The Rorate Mass (Msza Roratnia in Polish, Roratemesse in German) is a beloved, thousand year-old European seasonal tradition that hasn\u2019t been seen in Buffalo for decades\u2026 the Mass of the Blessed Virgin Mary during Advent, celebrated by candelight, takes its name from the liturgy\u2019s opening words: \u201cRorate caeli\u201d or in English \u201cDrop down dew ye heavens\u201d taken from the Prophet Isaiah.<\/p>\n

St. Ann\u2019s Church and Shrine will resurrect this tradition on Saturday December 18th at 10 AM. December 18th is also the traditional feast of the Expectation of Mary.<\/p>\n
