Beginning this week, First Friday Eucharistic Adoration returns to Saint Ann\u2019s Church and Shrine located @ Broadway and Emslie. I inquired with St. Ann\u2019s about the tradition being restored and received a response from parishioner Tim Hunger.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany years ago St. Ann\u2019s had Adoration every Friday which included the very popular weekly novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. It\u2019s not a devotion limited to any particular ethnic group, it\u2019s a universal Catholic practice. First Friday is the day set aside each month to especially honor the Sacred Heart, often including exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. Eucharistic Adoration has been and is continuing to be a hugely popular revived tradition not only here in Buffalo, but all over the country and even the world. What better place to pray and adore than at St. Ann\u2019s? It\u2019s beautiful, it\u2019s peaceful, it\u2019s quiet. Since we\u2019re beginning again after a long time we will have extended Adoration from 1 \u2013 5 on November 5th. If we have a good turnout, then we\u2019ll have a Holy Hour every First Friday from 4 \u2013 5. All are invited, even if you can only stay a few minutes.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
