{"id":6517,"date":"2010-10-31T01:56:13","date_gmt":"2010-10-31T05:56:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/?p=6517"},"modified":"2010-10-31T15:28:20","modified_gmt":"2010-10-31T19:28:20","slug":"1201-broadway-1910-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/2010\/10\/1201-broadway-1910-now\/","title":{"rendered":"1201 Broadway&#8230;1910 &#038; Now"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>***UPDATED***<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>[singlepic id=1388 w=320 h=240 float=](click on image for full view)[singlepic id=1389 w=320 h=240 float=] (click on image for full view)<\/p>\n<p>Update: Second image comes courtesy of <a href=\"http:\/\/forgottenbuffalo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Marty Biniasz<\/a>&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/library.buffalo.edu\/exhibits\/panam\/immigrants\/polish\/lipowicz-store.html\" target=\"_blank\">it is located on a UB Library site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As I was surfing around the internet today, I was looking through some of the Western New York Heritage Magazine&#8217;s online photos of old Buffalo.<\/p>\n<p>I clicked into their &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/wnyheritagepress.org\/photos_week_2004\/polish_business\/poles_part_1.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Poles in Buffalo<\/a>&#8221; pages and made what I think is an awesome discovery.\u00a0 The picture above shows what I believe is <a href=\"http:\/\/wnyheritagepress.org\/photos_week_2004\/polish_business\/poles_part_3.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Lipowicz&#8217;s Wholesale Grocery Store<\/a> at 1201 Broadway in 1910.\u00a0 I added a recent picture I took of the building.\u00a0 You can see the similarities&#8230;5 windows on second and third floors&#8230;cornice looks the same&#8230;.door on left of building.<\/p>\n<p>The building was designed by <a href=\"http:\/\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/2008\/07\/finding-zawadzki-part-one\/\" target=\"_blank\">Wladyslaw H.
