I received a few emails asking why I was up on the 13th floor of the Terminal on Saturday\u2026I was preparing a post about \u201cwhy\u201d but didn\u2019t have time over the weekend to finish it.<\/p>\n

I was invited to a meeting of Buffalo Weed and Seed\u2019s<\/a> lower East Side target area neighborhood restoration committee\u2026they have decided to hold their meetings on the 13th floor\u00a0of\u00a0the Central Terminal\u2026a hell-of-a walk up the stairs, but a cool place to hold a meeting.<\/p>\n

Weed and seed\u2026the basic premise of the initiative is to \u201cweed\u201d out the bad and \u201cseed\u201d some good into Buffalo\u2019s neighborhoods\u2026the group is\u00a0going to become more active in the coming months in B-F\u2026<\/p>\n

The photo above is of Dan from the Lombard Street Block Club and Yuri (who seems to be involved in anything and everything B-F) who are part of the group.<\/p>\n

The group has been involved in the mass tree planting you see in and around B-F\u2026plus\u2026they are involved targeting problem properties and bringing them to the attention of the city.<\/p>\n
