I have been slowly working on my garlic crop.\u00a0 It was somewhat of a disappointment this year, so it has been hard to be motivated to clean it.\u00a0 Because of the way the soil packs and reduces in the boxes, a\u00a0crop I plant in the fall, such as garlic, loses quite a bit of volume\u00a0 surrounding its roots by summer.\u00a0 My garlic boxes were only about half full of dirt when I\u00a0harvested the crop in July.\u00a0 The reduction in nutrients, as well as the weather no doubt, caused the heads of garlic to be smaller than usual.\u00a0 I also had a disease problem run through a couple boxes as well as affect\u00a0some random heads here and there.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What I have,\u00a0I have and although it\u00a0is small, it is still a good crop.\u00a0 I sold about 14 lb of it to an old custumer of mine and am currently in the process of cleaning up\u00a0what remains hanging in the garage.\u00a0 If anyone is interested in good,\u00a0local, naturally grown garlic, give me a\u00a0call.\u00a0 The price is\u00a0$3.50lb.<\/p>\n
