All Polish civilians and military veterans who settled in Western New York after surviving the war in Europe will be guests of honor at a reunion on Sunday, October 4.<\/p>\n

The day will begin with a Mass of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Church , 199 Clark St. in Buffalo . Fr. Czeslaw Krysa will serve as homilist.<\/p>\n

Following the Mass, a reunion dinner will take place at the Dom Polski Hall ( Matt Urban Center ) at 1081 Broadway, one block from Corpus Christi Church . All WWII survivors are welcomed free of charge following pre-registration. Entire families are encouraged to attend. A catered dinner will be provided for a cost of $20. Children under 12 free. A Polish sing-along and film will also be featured.<\/p>\n

Guests expected to attend include former Buffalo residents from California , New Jersey , Washington , D.C, New York City and Michigan .<\/p>\n

The historic Dom Polski Hall is significant as a venue for the reunion as it served as one of the first social stops for post-WWII immigrants. The hall served as a venue for musical performances, dances, patriotic events and family events for much of the 1950s through the 1970s for the community of Polish WWII survivors.<\/p>\n

Guests are invited to bring photos of post-war community events to pass around and to have scanned into an archive that is being created of the Polish community by the Polish Legacy Project.<\/p>\n

The reunion is part of a conference entitled: \u201c Poland to Buffalo Through WWII: Untold Stories Come Alive\u201d to be held on October 3 and 4 in Buffalo .<\/p>\n
