Poooof\u2026in a cloud of demolition dust, one of the most familiar buildings on Broadway is gone FOREVER.<\/p>\n

1163 Broadway was the home to the famous Polish Village<\/em> and in its later years Shadracks Nite Club<\/em>\u2026it went quietly\u2026I didn\u2019t hear about it until a phone call a little while ago.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t even\u00a0know it was on the demo list. \u00a0(click for location on Google Maps<\/a>)<\/p>\n

It sickens me\u2026it breaks my heart\u2026with many buildings in the neighborhood in much worse shape than this, it doesn\u2019t even begin to make sense to me.<\/p>\n

What a joke\u2026what an awful joke!<\/p>\n

This building should not have been torn down\u2026that is the bottom line\u2026.this is a whole HEAP OF FAIL and indictment of Buffalo\u2019s preservation and demolition plans.<\/p>\n
