Louise M. Slaughter, who heads the Upstate New York Caucus, which has made bringing high-speed rail to Western and Central New York a top priority, said the station is ill-suited to become a rail hub again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 0px; margin-right: 0px; margin-bottom: 13px; margin-left: 0px; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px;\">\u201cAt first I had hoped [it could be], but I don\u2019t think it\u2019s situated in the right place,\u201d said Slaughter, DFairport. \u201c[State] transit officials tell me it would not be suitable, which is too bad.
