It is of a neighborhood-wide parade in celebration of the United States\u2019 Bicentennial\u2026my father took the pic from our house on Ashley Street between Mohr and Young Streets. It seemed like everyone in the neighborhood had fireworks. The police left B-F\u2019s amateur pyrotechnicians alone on the 4th of July. It was truly a sight to behold\u2026fireworks everywhere\u2026street parties and neighborhood picnics.<\/p>\n<p>The morning after was also a blast both literally and figurtively as my friends and I would go out and look for un-used fireworks left by the curb around the neighborhood.<\/p>\n<p>Good times\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(click on image for full view) I was going through some old photos tonight and found this interesting picture from 1976.
