Est. in 2009 by Michele Johnson, the Buffalo Dream Weavers gives back to the community in loving memory of her son, James W. Johnson. She is now joined by other core members, volunteers, & donors who have helped thousands in Buffalo, NY. Each year, BDW organizes a a stockings collection for St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy. They recently put the call out for help in their efforts. Johnson is also one of the founders of Broadway Fillmore Alive. Here’s some information on the collection.<\/p>\n

The holidays are right around the corner, and as mentioned,<\/p>\n

\n

Buffalo Dream Weavers \u00a0will be once again be collecting stockings for\u00a0St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy!<\/p>\n

A reminder that this year, all stockings must be gender neutral and be appropriate for anyone between the ages of 3 through 10 years old to assist with easy & safe distribution.<\/p>\n

We will be accepting donations beginning November 28th through December 15th at the three drop-off locations listed on the flyer below.<\/p>\n

Items required for each stocking are:
\n\"💌\"<\/span>\u00a01 $5 GC from Tim Hortons, Burger King, or McDonalds
\n\"🧦\"<\/span>\u00a01 gender neutral pair of socks
\n\"🎄\"<\/span>\u00a02 candy canes
\n\"🪀\"<\/span>\u00a02 gender neutral toys, such as:
\n\u2022 Pez
\n\u2022 Play-Doh\/ kinetic sand
\n\u2022 washable markers\/ colored pencils\/ crayons
\n\u2022 coloring books\/ journals
\n\u2022 small stuffed animal<\/p>\n

Please do no not stray from the list as we like to keep all stockings similar so no child feels slighted.<\/p>\n

If you are unable to donate completed stockings, we will gladly accept donations of any of the items – stockings included – and our founding members will complete them for distribution!<\/p>\n

Please note that BDW, as well as St. Luke’s, will be vigorously abiding by all health & safety guidelines, so please remember to abide by all sanitary & social distancing rules when assembling & dropping off.<\/p>\n
