The Central Terminal Restoration Corporation announced the completion of its electric, solar and lighting initiative for the historic building.<\/p>\n
The project brought commercial-grade power back to the Central Terminal for the first time since it was decommissioned as a train station back in 1979.<\/p>\n
The work included putting in new solar panels, installing LED lighting and some more noticeable changes on the exterior.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe most iconic or the most visible part of the project has obviously been the lighting of the tower, from kind of the crown down, re-allows us to accent or highlight some of the architectural features and really brings the building back to be a beacon of the East Side,\u201d said Paul Lang, Central Terminal Restoration Corporation vice chair.<\/p>\n
