{"id":21493,"date":"2018-10-24T19:12:58","date_gmt":"2018-10-24T23:12:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/?p=21493"},"modified":"2018-10-24T19:13:05","modified_gmt":"2018-10-24T23:13:05","slug":"presentation-on-disputa-mural-and-stained-glass-at-corpus-christi-church-nov-17th","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/2018\/10\/presentation-on-disputa-mural-and-stained-glass-at-corpus-christi-church-nov-17th\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation on Disputa Mural and Stained Glass at Corpus Christi Church Nov. 17th"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A unique presentation about the <em>Mayer Stained Glass Windows<\/em> housed in Corpus Christi Church, and a detailed explanation of the <em>Disputa<\/em>, painting over our altar will take place on Saturday, November 17th\u00a0, at 3:00 pm in the beautiful Church, 199 Clark Street, one block east of the Broadway Market. \u00a0\u00a0Martin Ederer, PhD; Professor of Medieval History at Buffalo State College will discuss the figures represented in the painting and their significance in history and why they may have been selected to be in the painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also present will be representatives from the Swiatek Studios Inc., who will discuss and have on display examples of the restoration and conservation that will be done to the Church\u2019s windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The afternoon\u2019s presentation will also feature Mary Palmer, teacher and musician; who will perform music in honor of St. Cecelia, patroness of Music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will be the first in a series of discussions held by the parish.
