Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
The Commercial Kitchen Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the 850 square-foot commercial kitchen at the Broadway Market. The Manager ensures that the commercial kitchen meets the mission of assisting food entrepreneurs in launching and managing successful businesses by providing (1) a fully licensed and equipped commercial kitchen they can use for the development and on-going preparation of their food products; and (2) referral for technical assistance to improve their business operation plan, market penetration, profit and sustainability.<\/p>\n
Required Work experience, skills, and education<\/strong><\/p>\n Bachelor of Science \/or Arts Degree in restaurant management, culinary arts, or hospitality preferred or Associates Degree in restaurant management, culinary arts, or hospitality with two years management experience in a kitchen or restaurant or High School Diploma or Equivalent with four years kitchen or restaurant management experience.<\/p>\n Specific skills \u2013 Basic computer literacy, MS word, Excel and scheduling software. Working knowledge of social media, marketing experience or related class work recommended. Physical abilities \u2013Able to lift 25 Ibs. or more.<\/p>\n
\nPersonal characteristics \u2013 strong communication skills, sensitivity to a diverse client base.
\nCertifications \u2013 Servsafe certification required prior to hiring.<\/p>\n
