St. Luke’s Mission not only cares for the homeless, addicted and those in recovery that live at the Mission proper. St. Luke’s also cares for and assists several families who are struggling to survive amidst the poverty and despair of Buffalo’s poorest neighborhoods. St. Luke’s strives to provide these families with some sign of God’s love for them at Christmas by supplying each of the family members with some gifts for Christmas.<\/p>\n

We have found it is a blessing to have these families sponsored by an individual, a family, a club, a work place, a prayer group, etc. We have also seen the blessings that God pours out, not only on those who receive, but just as abundantly on those who give.<\/p>\n

So please pray and think about sponsoring a family. We have families, most of them single parent, that range in size from 2 – 3 to 7 – 8. Think about getting together with your family (brothers \/ sisters, etc). to sponsor a family. Or maybe your work place or a group you belong to can work together to sponsor a family. Or maybe God is just calling you to help a family. However you can arrange it, please help us. For these families, the gifts you provide will most likely be the only gifts they receive this Christmas!<\/p>\n
