It\u2019s certainly a fun, unique and often chaotic event that draws thousands of people back to the once bustling streets of Broadway-Fillmore. <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/broadwayfillmorealive.org\/2.0\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/ampol.jpg?w=640\" \/>However, some question whether it\u2019s appropriate to hold a Polish-themed parade in a neighborhood that can no longer be considered a Polish enclave.<\/p>\n<p>In my opinion, it\u2019s a perfect fit. The neighborhood has changed, but its legacy has not. It\u2019s a unique parade that is held in a unique part of the city long known as \u201cSerce Polonii\u201d or \u201cHeart of Polonia.\u201d Celebrating a neighborhood\u2019s historic ethnic heritage is nothing new around here.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, a part of Hertel Avenue is being branded as \u201cLittle Italy,\u201d even though it is no longer the Italian neighborhood that it once was.
