The\u00a0Adam Mickiewicz Library & Dramatic Circle (AMLDC) has been hosting an annual celebration on the anniversary of\u00a0the adoption of Polish Constitution for years.<\/p>\n

The constitution of May 3rd, 1791 (Polish: Konstytucja 3 maja) was adopted by the Great Sejm (parliament) of the Polish\u2013Lithuanian Commonwealth, a dual monarchy comprising Poland and Lithuania. It was second modern constitution (following the United States) and the first for a European country.<\/p>\n

The event at AMLDC features a reading of the constitution. The Polish Happy Hour will also be coming to help celebrate. Polish Happy Hour is a roaming happy hour that stops at various places around Buffalo and Western New York to bring Polish people together to network and celebrate Polish Pride. It seems a like a natural pairing that they\u00a0would come to the AMLDC on Polish Constitution Day.<\/p>\n

The events start at 5:00pm and last until 11:00pm. The AMLDC has one of the largest selections of ethnic and craft beers in Buffalo. It also has an extensive selection of Polish books in its library.<\/p>\n

There will be free food and admission is free as well.<\/p>\n

The AMLDC is located at 612 Fillmore Avenue in the heart of East Buffalo\u2019s Historic Polonia.<\/p>\n
