Central Termin8or is this weekend!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Termin8er Bike Race and Festival is June 3-5, 2016, held at the iconic Central Terminal, promises to be something Buffalo has never seen before.\u00a0 The event will be a reinterpretation of urban cycling for the Western New York cycling community and participants from Toronto, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Boston, Pittsburgh, and Richmond.<\/p>\n<p>Friday night kicks-off with the art party, \u201cPropulsion\u201d which will include bike art and local artists.\u00a0 Friday night\u2019s line-up includes an art gallery, slam poetry, fashion show, African drumming, dancing and a Track-stand bicycle competition.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday, the Termin8er main race, will be run in heats and open to anyone, on any bike.\u00a0 This race will pit expert against expert, beginner with beginner.\u00a0 You can even race your friends if you want.\u00a0 Prizes and awards will be given out according to point accumulation and will reflect the skill levels of riders.\u00a0 The official schedule of events is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Friday June 3,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7 p.m. \u2013 11 p.m.\u00a0Propulsion Art Party<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Saturday June 4<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:00 a.m.\u00a0 Course officially opens<\/li>\n<li>10:00 a.m. Qualifying rounds begin<\/li>\n<li>1:00 p.m. Gobike Kids\u2019 Rodeo (All kids are free)<\/li>\n<li>2:00 p.m. Team Relay<\/li>\n<li>4:00 p.m. Termin8er Finals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>5:30 p.m. Awards Ceremony<\/p>\n<p>Sunday June 5<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>9:00 a.m. Course opens for Community Ride (Free)<\/li>\n<li>10:00 a.m. Side competitions begin<\/li>\n<li>4:00 p.m. Ride to after party<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Alternative urban racing has a 30-year tradition of inclusivity in racing.\u00a0 It is the kind of event that has something for everyone.\u00a0 Saturday activities include a performer line-up with 80\u2019s rock to Motown and Funk.\u00a0 Steppers from the Matt Urban Hope Center and a DJ will round out the main stage.\u00a0 Racers and spectators alike will be able to enjoy the music as they participate in this totally integrated event.\u00a0 Above all, the feeling that anybody on any
