Slow Food Buffalo is hosting an event at the Common Roots and Wilson Street Urban farms on Monday, May23rd, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.<\/p>\n

The event will feature:<\/strong><\/p>\n

John Deibel, an agronomist who leads the Buffalo Foodscaping Project<\/em><\/a>. Deibel\u00a0will talk about the organization and their activities in creating\u00a0edible gardens in homeowner\u2019s yards.<\/p>\n

Terra Dumas, of the Common Roots Farm<\/a><\/em>. Dumas will\u00a0talk about the farm,\u00a0her participation in the USDA\/NRCS Hoophouse Project, and talk about the Farmer Pirates<\/em><\/a> organization, comprised of a group of like minded urban farmers who work together to pool resources to farm it more efficiently in an urban setting.<\/p>\n

Mark and Janice Stevens who operate the\u00a0Wilson Street Farm<\/em><\/a> will talk about their farm and the different systems they use for growing.<\/p>\n
