World Youth Day 2016 is in Krak\u00f3w, Poland from July 27-31. It’s\u00a0worldwide encounter with the Pope which is typically celebrated every three years in a different country. This year a youth group from Saint John the Baptist Church in Alden is planning to go and are in the midst of doing some creative fundraising to help underwrite some of the costs of the trip.<\/p>\n

The group will be making and selling pierogi for lent. Nothing beats homemade pierogi! Couple that with helping kids get the opportunity of a lifetime to see Pope Francis and it’s a win or everyone.<\/p>\n

The second part of their fundraising comes in the form of polka dance lessons.<\/p>\n
