I have thought about this before, but this past Sunday morning I was reminded when someone asked me at CC if the Market\u2019s bakeries are open on Sunday.<\/p>\n
The answer is no of course, but why?<\/p>\n
I have also thought about evenings in the past.\u00a0 The Market should consider opening up on Sundays.\u00a0 Think\u00a0about the influx of visitors to the neighborhood for Sunday masses alone and it makes sense.\u00a0 You have a built in audience\u2026.heck you could even work out some sort of deal with the churches.\u00a0The Market isn\u2019t entirely closed on Sundays as Save-A-Lot is open 9-5 already.<\/p>\n
For evenings, if opening late every evening isn\u2019t an option, why not have two days a week stay open late.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t recall the exact study I saw, but Broadway is one of the most traveled routes out of the city in the evening.\u00a0 Having the Market close at 5 pm on weeknights during the height of rush hour doesn\u2019t make sense.\u00a0 Again, Save-A-Lot is open to 7 pm Monday through Saturday already.\u00a0 Staying open later a couple nights a week would also be good for neighborhood residents\u00a0and people who may want to come down from other parts of WNY.<\/p>\n
In this day and age, work and\u00a0home schedules are crazy and diverese\u2026offering a\u00a0more flexibility to the\u00a0hours the Market is open seems like it could be a win win for everyone.\u00a0 It is not a 9 to 5 world anymore.<\/p>\n
