Every year at St. Luke\u2019s, we have a major Food Giveaway at Christmas time.\u00a0This year we are giving away 2,600 bundles of food \u2013 each bundle consists of two\u00a0bags of dry \/ canned goods including rolls, potatoes, vegetables, macaroni &\u00a0cheese, cookies, etc. Each bundle also consists of a bag of perishable items\u00a0including meat, butter, milk, frozen desserts, etc. God is so good! All of\u00a0these items are either donated or purchased with funds that were donated. The\u00a0food giveaway is an awesome thing to witness and an even more incredible thing\u00a0to be a part of!<\/p>\n

St. Luke\u2019s gives over 1000 bundles of food to other churches and ministries in\u00a0the East Side of Buffalo area to allow them to \u201cfeed the hungry\u201d\u00a0and spread the love and mercy of God to their congregations as well.<\/p>\n

Coming With a Group?<\/h2>\n

If you are coming with a group, we recommend that you talk to the person who is\u00a0coordinating our volunteer effort at this year\u2019s food packing. This way, we can\u00a0try to arrange a schedule that will meet your needs and allow us to have enough volunteers\u00a0throughout the day to complete everything that needs to get done.     Give Nancy a call and let her know the name of your group and approximately how many people\u00a0you are expecting to volunteer and she will help set you up with an assignment that will be both\u00a0enjoyable and productive!<\/p>\n

    As always, individuals and families are also most welcome. You can come for any part of, or\u00a0all of the day. Lunch will be provided to any volunteer. So if you can, please stop by and\u00a0give us a hand. There is always plenty\u00a0to do and it is a very special time at the Mission. It is incredible\u00a0to witness such an outpouring of God\u2019s love through the generosity of so\u00a0many beautiful people, not only in terms of donating money and product,\u00a0but so many people donating their time and energy to allow the Food Giveaway\u00a0to touch so many people.<\/p>\n
