Matt Urban Center<\/a> for an update on the Crescent Village area.\u00a0 The Matt Urban Center is the lead housing agency on the project.\u00a0\u00a0The area\u00a0targeted in the project is a 16-block area that is bound by Broadway to the south, Walden to the north, Loepere to the east and Sobieski to the west.\u00a0 It incolves mostly congregants of Masjid Zakariya on Sobieski Street. The idea is to build new homes or upgrade\/rehab existing sturctures around the mosque.<\/p>\nHere is the update\u2026the project is awaiting bids from a variety of builders.\u00a0\u00a0Bids\u00a0are being\u00a0accepting for about two more weeks.\u00a0 Once all\u00a0are received and evaluated, a builder will\u00a0be selected by the end of March or early April with the idea of\u00a0groundbreaking taking place by mid April.<\/p>\n
There are currently 94 families interested in the project who are being qualified to particpate.<\/p>\n
