The crew started on Tuesday, January 14th and quickly were covering the wall alongside the restaurant area.

“Places like this don’t exist anymore,” explained Biddle, “and with the reuse plan of the Center for Restoration Arts & Sciences and the concentration on skilled craftsmanship, it was hard to say no to this project.” Biddle has joined a growing list of local businesses who have offered their support and time in the initial stages of the Terminal’s redevelopment. “The project covers speed tile throughout the Main Concourse that allows for a crisper look similar to when the original marble was in place,” said Marilyn Rodgers, the Terminal’s Executive Director. “It also provides additional safety to our visitors in case they might brush up against the rough texture of the speed tile. Mader Construction has also allowed for a space to be covered in plexiglass so visitors can see the workings of the original window cranks usually hidden behind the wall. This also enhances our new programming for school-aged children to learn about adaptive reuse and the construction of older properties in their city.”

Work was completed on Friday, January 17.

The CTRC has an army of volunteers and helping hands. This has been the case since the corporation was founded 1997 and continues now. The building inspires people to want to help. With every helping hand, the Terminal moves one step closer in redevelopment.

Continuing with that trend, Buffalo Website Design has step forward to revamp the CTRC’s website.

More from the press release:

Another company keen on the Terminal is Buffalo Website Design, owned by Philip Hastings. The company is currently redeveloping the Terminal’s website to make it more user-friendly with stronger SEO capabilities with online information and donation and merchandise an easy click of the mouse. This, too, is an in-kind donation from Hastings who stated: “We take a great deal of pride in helping small businesses in Western New York leverage the web and market themselves in a virtual domain. We firmly believe that the restoration of this Buffalo landmark represents the reemergence of Buffalo, New York.” The new site has an expected launch date of March 15th.

If any businesses are interested in becoming involved with the CTRC, please contact Marilyn Rodgers at 716-440-1106 or by email at mrodgers@buffalocentralterminal.org.

The Buffalo Central Terminal is great at attracting helping hands. A lot of times, these hands come after someone has visited the Terminal and is

"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false
[1,623
62,133
post-14277","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-news","category-b-f-preservation","tag-buffalo-central-terminal","tag-central-terminal
["GET
