Enser\/Buffalo News)<\/font><\/p>\n<p>Before I send you on your way to the Buffalo News, I wanted to fill you in on my take from the \u201cSave Our Churches, Save Our Neighborhoods\u201d meeting Saturday at \u201cBabeville\u201d downtown.<\/p>\n<p>A theme I have long pushed was reiterated by virtyally ever speaker Saturday\u2026saving these churches is saving our history.  From the B-F perspective, all of our wonderful churches were built by my forefathers and mothers.  I have a sneaky suspicion that if you are reading this, your forefathers and mothers also had a hand in B-F\u2019s history and its churches.  We can\u2019t simply let them fade away.  Sounds like my earlier post on vacant homes, but our churches also tell a story about the neighborhood\u2026.it is my story and your story\u2026we have to keep the stories <strong>ALIVE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I am glad Tim Tielman from the Campain for Greater Buffalo sees the importance of the above and thankful he is putting together the foundation for us to preserve and plan for the future of Buffalo\u2019s historic churches whatever the outcome may be from the Buffalo Diocese\u2019s plans\u2026this cause will combine the many voices out there who have been working on their own and help ensure something like Transfiguration never happens again.<\/p>\n<p>More info to come about the effort and BFA will be part of it.<\/p>\n<p>[<a href=\"http:\/\/www.buffalonews.com\/cityregion\/story\/283573.html\" target=\"_blank\">Click here to read full Buffalo News recap of the meeting<\/a>\u2026]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>(Dennis C.
