This Friday, May 3, the Adam Mickiewicz Library and Dramatic Circle will host its annual \u201cRaise a Toast to the Polish Constitution\u201d when the Preamble of the historic May 3rd Constitution is read, beginning at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n

Polish beer on tap \u2013 Polish liqueurs and vodkas \u2013 Snacks<\/p>\n

Inspired by the American Constitution of 1787, the people of Poland formed and adopted the first democratic constitution in Europe on May 3, 1791.<\/p>\n

The anniversary of the world\u2019s second democratic written constitution has been celebrated wherever people of Polish heritage are found.<\/p>\n

Over the last 20 years the date has seen celebrations in Poland and Polish American communities grow.<\/p>\n
