I went to the opening night of\u00a0Do\u017cynki today with camera in hand to take a bunch of pictures.<\/p>\n

When I arrived, I was surprised to see my Aunt Gert and my cousin Sue there. \u00a0I did take a few photos but spent most of the evening chatting with my family.<\/p>\n

My aunt was married at Corpus Christi almost 60 years ago. \u00a0 We talked about the church and our family. \u00a0All of it reminding me why I do what I do in the neighborhood by helping places like Corpus Christi. \u00a0These places are important and historic. \u00a0They tell the story of the Polish community who built Broadway-Fillmore. \u00a0This part of Buffalo was shaped by the lives and experiences of these people\u2026my ancestors. \u00a0They are part of the fabric which made Buffalo the city it is. \u00a0It is why it is important to preserve the B-F treasures that remain. \u00a0It is this past that can help the\u00a0neighborhood\u2019s\u00a0future.<\/p>\n

Do\u017cynki continues today and tomorrow.<\/p>\n
