A Broadway-Fillmore landmark has gone on the local real estate market.

The former Parkside Pharmacy at 975 Broadway is listed with a $599,000 asking price.

The two-story, 10,400-square-foot building dates back to 1905.

Located almost next to the Broadway Market, Hunt Commercial Real Estate’s Chris Malachowski said interest in the building has picked up in recent weeks. Parkside Pharmacy closed earlier this year after its owner retired.

“East Side real estate is attracting a lot of attention,” Malachowski said. “More than we’ve seen in a while.”

While no serious offers have been made, Malachowski said a couple of would-be buyers suggested the building might be a suitable mixed-use project with street level retail and apartments on the second floor.

“I could see it as viable mixed-use development,” Malachowski said.
