Next Sunday is Second Sunday in Broadway-Fillmore

As part of an ongoing effort to get people to attend a B-F church at least every second of the month throughout the year, here are two churches that are having great events next weekend in the neighborhood.

Saint Adalbert Basilica is having their annual Kolędy Concert & Mass next weeked.

Corpus Christi Church is rededicating its Disputa Mural with a Mass and celebration next weekend as well.

Public Invited to Rededication, Expert's Presentationon the Mural's Significance & Restoration

Both events highlight the importance of these incredible churches as not only treasures for the neighborhood, but Buffalo and Western New York as well.

Special shout out to the Am-Pol Eagle for this:

Last week we reported that Broadway Fillmore Alive is starting a program called Second Sundays in Broadway Fillmore. It is an effort to encourage people to support the East Side’s historic churches. They are calling on Polonia and the community at large to pick one of the churches in the neighborhood every second Sunday of the month and attend Mass there.

Churches that are a part of Second Sundays include: Corpus Christi Church, St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr, St. Ann’s, St. John Kanty, St. Luke’s Mission of Mercy and St. Adalbert Basilica.

We think this is a great idea to build attendance and revitalize the parishes that meant so much to so many for so long. We applaud the organizers and hope they continue to promote this idea.

The Am-Pol Eagle is one of the neighborhood’s biggest supporters and do a lot to help keep it A L I V E!

Though two churches were featured in this post, I encourage you to support any in the neighborhood.
