Welcome to Broadway-Fillmore Alive! Our mission is to work together with community
groups, businesses, residents, churches and other organizations to help
promote, preserve and revitalize the Broadway-Fillmore area.
Corpus Christi’s 3rd Annual Rosary Procession will take place on Our Lady’s Feast, Wednesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m.
Praying the Rosary in different languages, Corpus Christi parishioners and friends will walk down the street with candles in hand. Mary lived with her eyes fixed on Christ, treasuring His every word. Let us join our gaze with hers on this special evening, pondering the mystery of Christ in our hearts.
All are welcome…bring a friend! A reception will follow in the Kolbe Center.
Fr. Anzelm Chalupka, pastor of Corpus Christi Church, led a candlelit rosary procession on the East Side of Buffalo. Participants carried candles and prayed the rosary in several languages for the transformation and revitalization of the neighborhood.
This is a brief video of the Rosary Procession yesterday around Corpus Christi Church.
I didn’t shoot much video as I participated…when you are behind the camera, you miss out on taking part in an event. Last night, I took off my BFA hat for most of the procession, but I wanted to give you feel for the event.
The purpose of the procession was to celebrate Mary, use the power of prayer to strengthen faith, family and community.
The Pauline Fathers and what is going on at Corpus Christi continuously amaze me…they help keep Broadway-Fillmore Alive!
